Co-Founder

Maureen C. Zupan, CLU® is the Co-Founder of Madison Financial Planning Group. After more than 44 years in the financial services industry, she retired in 2016.

Maureen is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), completing the exam series “with distinction.” She holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from William Smith College in Geneva, New York. A trustee of the Colleges since 1994, Maureen was the first William Smith alumna to serve as chair of the Board of Trustees.  In her home community, she has served as president of the Cazenovia Children’s House, secretary of the Cazenovia Area Community Development Association, member of the Steering Committee for the Syracuse Children’s Hospital and chair of community fundraising for the Crouse Hospital Foundation’s annual gala. She is an emeritus trustee of the Upstate University Foundation and has been a member of the Foundation Board for SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

Maureen resides in Cazenovia, NY with her husband Bill. They have two children, a daughter in New York City and a son in California, as well as two grandchildren.
